![]() ![]() Resolution should be around 300-360dpi for typical music. Have you made a simple file and tried scanning it or is your problem with the one and only file you have tried? If the recognition process presents Finale with something it isn't expecting it certainly could cause the crash.ĭoes the crash appear to happen at the end of the recognition phase or immediately? The tif file in this state did not work but it didn't usually crash SS. There was one problem that got resolved and that was adjusting the tif file caused it to go very, very bold and lose the proper aspect ration. However, I am able to import the tif files generated by the Vue-Scan driver into SS. Not a problem because I often scanned using the Epson driver anyway. This caused the scanner not to be recognized by the SS scanner driver linkage and give a not ready error, IIRC. I'm using Windows and I had to get a 3rd Party driver (Hamrick Vue-Scan) from my old Epson Scanner for Win 8 since there was no Win 8 driver. I probably clicked the "integrate SS Pro into Finale" option at some time.Įverything I write was done by scanning into SS, not Finale. ![]() While I have Finale, I can't be of much help with it because any attempt I make to do something within Finale brings up my SS Pro X2 first. Yours may be the first one I've seen on this board after several years but maybe there was another one. Re: Using SmartScore Lite Scan within Finale Share Link to this post Send Email to vikslen Send PM to vikslen Blog When I use the scanner with its own software and create a TIFF, then try to import the TIFF, the program crashes…. If I try to operate the (SmartScore) scan function within Finale, I get a message that my scanner is not ready. I have been generally unable to import sheet music into Finale, and they say the failure must be with SmartScore. I don't see any questions or answers specific to using SmartScore Lite Scan within Finale. Sign up ( learn about it) | Sign in ( lost password?)
